Heritage brewing of farmhouse ale in the Viking longhouse.
More information will be available here soon, stay tuned!
For several thousand years, beer has been brewed on farms, perhaps all the way back to the very beginning of agriculture. Beer has been a tradition passed down since the Viking Age, and perhaps even longer. The cultural heritage brewing in the Viking House is organized by Hodr Hjørungavåg Vikingsete, together with Bjørn Vegard Bjåstad and Arve Eiken Nytun, who will demonstrate how beer was brewed in the old days. In addition, there will be lectures on beer in the Viking Age and on traditional brewing and how it has been practiced.
Rental
The Longhouse is available for rent to both private groups and businesses. In the atmospheric banquet hall, there is seating for around 80 people. Modern sanitary facilities, including accessibility for people with reduced mobility, are included in the rental.
Although Hodr does not have its own kitchen, there is a collaboration with Kokkn Roll and Årvak Museum in Brandal to offer first-class catering.
Whether planning a wedding, confirmation, company party, team building with axe throwing, birthday celebration, conference, club night or a musical performance, feel free to get in touch for a pleasant chat – or go straight to booking.
